Homemade Apple Fritters & Coffee Kind of Day πŸŽβ˜•

Fresh homemade apple fritters with glaze made from scratch by Mariposas

This morning was one of those quiet mornings where everyone was still asleep, so I decided to get up and make breakfast using the apples we had left before they went bad πŸŽβ˜•

Honestly, those peaceful kitchen moments are sometimes my favorite part of the day before the house gets loud again πŸ˜‚

I ended up making homemade apple fritters and started experimenting a little while cooking:

✨ some with glaze

✨ some with powdered sugar

✨ some no top sugar

✨ and even added walnuts into part of the batter for different varieties

I like making little variations because everybody in the house likes something different 😭

The kitchen smelled like warm apples, cinnamon, vanilla, and fresh fried dough the entire morning. By the time everyone woke up, plates were already disappearing fast πŸ˜‚

Sometimes it’s just:

quiet mornings,

using what you already have,

trying new ideas,

and making something warm for the people you love πŸ¦‹

One thing I’ve learned while building Mariposas is that homemade food carries memories with it. Even simple recipes become part of family traditions later.

And honestly… those are the moments I want to remember most πŸ’›
