If you experience dental anxiety, our sedation options are an excellent way to overcome discomfort. Sedation dentistry includes sedative medication to help keep you comfortable and at ease during your dental treatments. Some of the most common sedation options offered in dentistry are:

Nitrous oxide: More commonly known as laughing gas, this conscious sedation is administered through a nose mask as a vapor and is a mild sedation that wears off quickly after treatment.
Oral sedation: Administered in pill form, oral sedation is provided to patients before their appointments and allows them to remain conscious, comfortable and relaxed during dental treatment. Our dentist will provide a set of instructions so you know what to expect with this sedation option.
IV sedation: Applied directly to the bloodstream, IV sedation is a fast-acting sedation that helps relax you during treatment. Though it is a conscious sedation, many patients fall asleep during treatment, which is a normal reaction. You will need a driver to safely take you to and from your appointment. At our office, we offer two types of IV sedation options.
