
ROC Fitness – Terms & Conditions of Membership, Class Attendance, Nutrition Coaching, and Personal Training
By booking and attending a class, personal training session, or nutrition coaching session, you confirm that you have read and understood the terms and conditions stated on the ROC Fitness website and app.
COVID-19 and Health Conditions
- ROC Fitness takes reasonable precautions to reduce the risk of illness but cannot guarantee a completely risk-free environment.
- Members are responsible for following public health guidance, including HSE advice regarding COVID-19 and other contagious illnesses.
- Do not attend sessions if you have an infection, contagious illness, or any condition that may pose a risk to yourself or others.
- You must notify ROC Fitness of any health changes that may affect your ability to safely participate in exercise programmes.
- ROC Fitness reserves the right to cancel or suspend sessions if participation may compromise health, safety, or comfort.
- Class schedules may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
- These terms do not affect your statutory rights under Irish consumer or health and safety law.
Booking, Attendance, and Cancellations
- All bookings and cancellations must be made via the ROC Fitness website or app. Notifications via phone, text, or social media are not accepted.
- Sessions can be booked up to 1 hour before the start time.
- Cancellations require at least 12 hours’ notice. Late cancellations or no-shows will be treated as attended sessions and are non-refundable.
- Membership cancellations require 28 days’ written notice prior to the next billing date.
- ROC Fitness reserves the right to refuse participation in any session or programme.
Refunds and Deposits
- All purchases are final. Refunds are not provided for change of mind, user error, illness, injury, or relocation.
- If ROC Fitness cancels a session or programme and no suitable alternative is offered, a refund or credit may be provided at ROC Fitness’s sole discretion.
- Deposits for nutrition coaching are non-refundable once materials have been delivered.
- ROC Fitness may terminate programmes without refund if participants fail to follow instructions or act inappropriately.
- All participants must consult a medical professional before beginning any exercise programme.
Training Sessions
- Sessions last approximately 40 minutes.
- Wear appropriate workout clothing and footwear.
- Bring a towel and water bottle.
- Ensure you are well-fed and hydrated before training. Avoid training on an empty stomach or immediately after heavy meals.
- Follow trainer instructions and use equipment safely.
Membership Terms
- Memberships are billed every 28 days and renew automatically unless canceled with 28 days’ notice.
- Memberships may only be frozen or paused in exceptional circumstances at ROC Fitness’s discretion (e.g., medical leave).
- Up to 4 unused sessions may be carried over per membership block with prior arrangement. Unused sessions beyond this limit expire.
- Members must maintain a respectful and safe environment; inappropriate behavior may result in suspension or termination of membership.
Duty of Care
- ROC Fitness provides a safe and professional environment with qualified trainers and maintained equipment.
- Physical activity carries inherent risks; members participate at their own risk.
- Members share responsibility for safety by following instructions and reporting medical conditions.
- ROC Fitness may modify or stop sessions if participation is unsafe.
Injury Policy
- Members who sustain an injury may request early membership cancellation by providing documentation from a licensed physiotherapist or medical doctor.
- Unused sessions may be carried over to support recovery where agreed in advance.
- Membership freezes for injuries are considered only in exceptional circumstances.
Programmes (4-Week & 6-Week)
- Programme sessions must be completed within the designated timeframe.
- Advance notice is required to carry over missed sessions; unused sessions beyond the programme period cannot be accumulated unless otherwise agreed.
Fees, Billing, and Price Changes
- Membership fees are billed every 28 days from activation.
- Fees may increase annually by 3–10%, with 30 days’ notice provided to members.
- ROC Fitness reserves the right to update terms, policies, or prices; members will be notified in advance.
Privacy and Marketing
- ROC Fitness respects your privacy and complies with GDPR. Personal, medical, and training information is securely maintained
and disclosed only as required by law.
- By attending sessions, you consent to marketing communications via email, SMS, app notifications, or phone, unless you opt out.
- Photos or videos may be used for marketing unless written notice is given to ROC Fitness.
Liability
- Participation in exercise carries risk of injury or illness. Members confirm they are physically fit to participate and have sought medical advice if necessary.
- ROC Fitness is not liable for personal injury, property loss, or damage except where caused by negligence or breach of duty by ROC Fitness or its staff.
- Members accept responsibility for their own actions and safety while participating in activities.
Legal Terms
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland, and the local courts/tribunal have jurisdiction.
- If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, remaining provisions remain in effect.
