Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: May 1, 2026 Last Updated: May 1, 2026
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By booking a class, registering for a course, or using any services provided by HLEBEN CPR, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Client," "Participant," or "you") and HLEBEN CPR ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), a CPR and First Aid training company operating in Randolph, Massachusetts and surrounding areas.

If you are booking on behalf of an organization, employer, church, school, or other entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

03

Certification & Validity

Certification Issuance

Upon successful completion of a course — including satisfactory demonstration of required skills and passing any applicable written or practical assessments — participants will receive a certification card or digital certificate.

Certification Validity

Certification cards issued through HLEBEN CPR are typically valid for two (2) years from the date of issuance, consistent with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines where applicable. It is the participant's sole responsibility to track their certification expiration date and arrange timely renewal.

No Guarantee of Regulatory Compliance

While our courses are designed to meet commonly accepted standards, HLEBEN CPR makes no guarantee that our certifications will satisfy the specific regulatory, licensing, insurance, or employment requirements of any particular employer, government agency, or jurisdiction. Participants are responsible for confirming that our certifications meet their specific requirements prior to enrollment.

Failed or Incomplete Participation

Participants who do not satisfactorily complete course requirements will not receive certification. No refund will be issued solely on the basis of a failed assessment. Remediation options may be offered at the discretion of HLEBEN CPR.

04

Scheduling & Cancellation Policy

Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed upon receipt of a deposit or full payment, as specified at the time of booking. HLEBEN CPR will confirm the date, time, location, and instructor in writing via email or text message.

Client Cancellations

  • 7 or more days before the session: Full refund or free rescheduling.
  • 3–6 days before the session: 50% refund or one-time free rescheduling.
  • Less than 48 hours before the session: No refund. Rescheduling may be offered at HLEBEN CPR's discretion for an administrative fee.
  • No-show: No refund. No rescheduling credit.

HLEBEN CPR Cancellations

In the rare event that HLEBEN CPR must cancel a session due to instructor illness, emergency, inclement weather, or other circumstances beyond our control, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional cost. HLEBEN CPR is not responsible for any indirect costs you may incur as a result of a cancellation.

Group Bookings

For group or corporate bookings, cancellation terms will be specified in the group service agreement. Minimum headcount requirements may apply. A reduction in group size within 48 hours of the session may result in forfeiture of the per-person fee for absent participants.

05

Payment & Refund Policy

Accepted Payment Methods

HLEBEN CPR accepts payment via cash, check, credit card, debit card, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, and other electronic payment methods as indicated at the time of booking. Payment is due in full prior to or on the day of training unless a separate invoice arrangement has been agreed to in writing.

Pricing

Course prices are quoted at the time of booking and are subject to change. Quoted pricing is valid for thirty (30) days from the date of the quote. HLEBEN CPR reserves the right to adjust pricing for future bookings.

Refunds

Refunds are processed in accordance with the Cancellation Policy outlined in Section 4. Approved refunds will be returned via the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Chargebacks

If a client initiates an unauthorized chargeback or payment dispute, HLEBEN CPR reserves the right to pursue recovery of the full amount owed, plus any fees incurred as a result of the dispute.

06

Participant Conduct

All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, safe, and professional manner throughout all HLEBEN CPR training sessions. The following behaviors may result in removal from the class without refund:

  • Disruptive, aggressive, or threatening behavior toward instructors or other participants
  • Arriving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances
  • Willful damage to equipment or training materials
  • Harassment or discrimination of any kind
  • Refusal to follow instructor safety directions

HLEBEN CPR instructors have the sole authority to determine whether conduct warrants removal from a session.

07

Health & Medical Disclosure

CPR and First Aid training involves physical activity, including chest compressions on mannequins, use of training AED devices, and practice of rescue breathing techniques. By enrolling in a course, you represent that you are physically able to participate and accept the physical demands of the training.

If you have a medical condition, physical limitation, or disability that may affect your ability to participate safely, you are responsible for disclosing this to HLEBEN CPR prior to enrollment. We will make reasonable accommodations where possible.

Important: HLEBEN CPR training courses are educational in nature. Completion of a CPR or First Aid course does not make you a medical professional. In any real emergency, call 911 immediately and follow the guidance of certified medical dispatchers and emergency responders.

08

Assumption of Risk

By participating in a HLEBEN CPR training course, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with the training activities, including but not limited to physical exertion and minor physical discomfort from hands-on practice.

In no event shall HLEBEN CPR's total liability exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HLEBEN CPR and its instructors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney's fees) arising out of your use of our services, your violation of these Terms, or your actions in applying CPR or First Aid skills in any real-world situation.
