Occupational Therapy the therapeutic use of everyday life occupations(specific daily activities or tasks) to develop or restore function, prevent deterioration, maintain function, modify or adapt environment, and promote health for people, groups, organizations with special needs, mental or physical disabilities, and vulnerable population.
Occupational Therapist or OT practitioners are allied health professionals with a bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy; a current Professional Regulations Commission(PRC) license; works with diverse population from children, adults, and elderly with special needs or specific disabilities(mental, physical, socio-emotional conditions). An occupational therapists is part of the Rehabilitation Team and carries the official title OTRP or Occupational Therapist Registered in the Philippines.
OTs serve a wide range of age groups from babies(0-2), children, teens, adults, and the elderly with various (mental, physical, socio-emotional) conditions that limits their participation in everyday activities and tasks required in life. OTs help children, and teens develop and establish skills needed to participate in everyday life from self-care, self-regulation, adaptive skills, educational preparation, pre-vocational training. OTs work with their primary carer by educating, equipping and empowering them to meet their children’s special needs.
OTs work with adults, and elderly with disabilities or special needs by improving(mental, physical, socio-emotional) function, adapting everyday activities or tasks demands, or modify environment to facilitate daily engagement in everyday life.

The B Academy PH utilizes technology to make OT programs and services more accessible and available to our clients.
You can avail of OT programs and services provided by The B Academy PH from Medical City Iloilo. For children and teens, you may book online for an OT consultation available every Mondays at The Medical City Iloilo Clinic at the Festive Mall Annex, level 2. For adults and elderly, you may book online for an OT consultation available every fridays at The Medical City Iloilo Outpatient Department, Molo, Iloilo City.
OT consultation services is the process of assisting a client, primary carer, or family of person with special needs by identifying and analyzing issues, providing information and advice, review of a client case to determine whether OT further services are necessary. The purpose of the consultation is not to diagnose a condition but rather to determine if you can benefit from an OT screening, assessment, and intervention.
OT consultation at the Medical City Iloilo(The Medical City Clinic Festive Mall Annex) are Mondays for children and teens; and Fridays for adults and elderly. The OT consultation process takes around 20-30 minutes.

3. Finish the entire booking, payment, filling-in forms process to confirm OT
consultation schedule.
During your consultation appointment, your OT consultant will discuss with you recommendations based on your initial consultation interview results, and the consultation process.
Based on your consultation results, recommendations may include booking an OT evaluation; screening and assessment; preparing for OT intervention, and or referral to a medical specialist/allied health professional if you need a diagnosis or other therapy services.
The B Academy PH is an Iloilo city based startup registered and incubated under the ISAT-U Kwadra TBI program, UMWAD Western Visayas Startup ecosystem, and Fyrlab Cohort 2. It also in partnership with Dream Bigger Ventures Philippines for business development and expansion support.
The B Academy PH mission is to equip, educate, and empower primary carers of persons with special needs through the use of technology and evidence-based practice. It is currently the exclusive provider of occupational therapy programs and services of The Medical City Iloilo.
