Referral intake and outreach scripts are used to create consistency and ease as you engage and communicate with referrals and referring clients alike.

Referral Introduction Is Made

Initial Outreach Script

After your client makes an intro, you’ll want to drive to a call ASAP! Don’t spend too much time building relationship in group chat.

"Hey [Client Name], thanks for such a kind intro!

 

What's up [Prospect Name], it's a pleasure! [Client Name] speaks super highly of you. I'm excited to learn more about you and see how/if I can support you with [Big Outcome]. What's your schedule look like for a quick chat today or tomorrow?"

Client Thank You Script

Send this to your client just before or after responding to the introduction in the group thread.

"Hey [Client Name], thank you so much for introducing [Prospect Name]!

 

We’ll make sure to keep you in the loop and I’ll reach out if he doesn’t respond for some reason so you can check-in on him. Is there anything helpful you think I should know about as I move the conversation forward?"

Prospect Engaged

Schedule a Call Script

You'll want to keep the conversation in the group until they've given you their email address and you've scheduled the call

"That works great [Prospect Name]. What's your best email address so I can send you a calendar invite with the Zoom link?"

Schedule the call

Call Scheduled 1:1 Script

You'll want to send them this private message in a 1:1 chat & then let them know in the group chat that you sent them a private message.

"Hey [Prospect Name], I'm excited for our meeting.

 

Just to save us both time and see if this might be a fit for you, would you be able to watch a short 5 minute video today and let me know if we're still a go?"

Wait for response

"Perfect! Here it is. [Video Link Here]

Just shoot me a 👍 once you're done and let me know you're still a go for our call."

Schedule a Call Script

Send this message to the group chat once you've sent the 1:1 script above to the prospect.

"Alrighty [Prospect Name]. The call has been scheduled and I sent you a calendar invite with the Zoom link on it. I also just sent you a private message so we don't keep blowing up [Client Name] in this chat. Check your 'message request' folder if you don't see it.

I dropped 1 important thing there that I need from you today👍"

Referral Prospect Follow-up

First Follow-up Script

If the referral prospect hasn't engaged for a couple of days, you'll want to send this in the group chat.

 

Hey [Prospect Name], I’d love to connect when you’re available. I promised [Client Name] I’d hook you up with [Prospect Incentive] too. What does your schedule look like for a quick chat today or tomorrow?

Next Follow-up Script

If the referral prospect hasn't engaged after 4 days, you'll wnat to send this message in the group chat.

 

Just wanted to follow up on this again [Prospect Name]. I’m sure you’re busy crushing it. What openings do you have to link up this week or next?

Final Follow-up Script

If the referral prospect hasn't engaged for over a week, you'll want to send this in the group chat.

Hey [Prospect Name], I'm looking forward to chatting about [Big Outcome] when you find some availability in the coming days. At this point, I'll wait to hear back from you so I'm not driving you too crazy with my "sweet follow-up skills". Can't help but quote Napoleon Dynamite occasionally, lol. Cheers:)

Follow-up Script for Client

If the referral prospect hasn't engaged for over a week, you'll want to send this to the referral source in a private chat.

"Hey [Client Name], I've reached out to [Prospect Name] a few times now with no response. I definitely want to make sure I'm not bugging them. Did you speak with them before introducing them, or do you think I should follow-up with differently?"

Closed Referral Messages

Client Congrats Script

Send this message to the referral source (client) on the day the person they referred enrolls.

"Hey [Client Name], I wanted to give you the good news first.

 

[Prospect Name] just enrolled and they are a great fit. Keep your eyes peeled, because your [Referral Incentive/s] is on the way, and if you like this one...just wait until you see the next one;)

Client Verification Script

Send this message to the referral source (client) the day after you send the incentive to verify they received it and gamify it.

"Hey [Client Name], thank you again for introducing [Prospect Name].

 

You should’ve already received [Referral Incentive/s]. Can you please verify for me that you have received it?
