Terms of Service — Camp Benji

These Terms govern registration and participation in Camp Benji. By registering a child or joining the waitlist, you agree to these Terms.

1) Program overview

Camp Benji is a short-term, in-person educational program for ages 10–15 focused on money skills, entrepreneurship, and beginner-friendly AI. Sessions are held in Charlotte, NC at [Venue/Address] on Dec 22–23 & Dec 29–31, 2025, [Times] (“Program Dates”).

2) Registration, waitlist, and communication

  • Registration must be completed by a parent/guardian.

  • Seats are limited; waitlist does not guarantee a spot.

  • You consent to receive email/SMS related to registration, reminders, logistics, and safety. You can opt-out of marketing at any time.

3) Tuition, payment, refunds & transfers

  • Tuition: $[Price] per participant; includes program materials.

  • Refunds:

    • 100% refund until [Date]

    • 50% refund until [Date]

    • No refunds after [Date]

  • Transfers: You may transfer a seat to another family until [Date] (subject to availability and safety requirements).

  • Cancellations/credits: If we cancel due to venue issues, low enrollment, or force majeure (see §10), we’ll offer a reschedule or a prorated refund/credit.

4) Health, safety & supervision

  • You agree to provide accurate allergy/medical information and emergency contacts.

  • Participants must follow staff directions and safety rules.

  • We maintain a target supervision ratio of [e.g., 1:10].

  • If a child becomes ill or injured, you authorize us to seek appropriate care and contact you/emergency contacts. You are responsible for any medical costs.

5) Code of conduct

We aim for a supportive, respectful environment. Bullying, harassment, vandalism, unsafe behavior, possession of weapons, alcohol, drugs, or illegal items is prohibited. Personal devices may be restricted during activities. We may dismiss a participant for cause; no refunds for dismissal due to conduct.

6) Drop-off, pick-up & authorized adults

Children must be signed in/out by a parent/guardian or an authorized adult you designate. Government-issued ID may be required. Late pick-ups may incur a [fee/amount].

7) Personal property

We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items (including devices). Please label items and avoid bringing valuables.

8) Photo/video release (optional)

With your consent (collected during registration), we may photograph or record participants for program highlights and marketing (website, social media, print). Consent is optional and can be revoked by emailing [email]; revocation will not apply to materials already produced.

9) Privacy

Our collection and use of data are described in our Privacy Policy. By registering, you acknowledge you’ve reviewed it.

10) Inclement weather & force majeure

We may modify schedules, move indoors, or cancel sessions due to weather, public health directives, utility outages, or other causes beyond our control. We’ll communicate promptly and provide a reschedule, credit, or prorated refund as appropriate.

11) Assumption of risk; release of liability

Participation involves ordinary risks inherent in youth educational activities (movement, group interaction, use of classroom materials). To the fullest extent permitted by law, you assume these risks and release and hold harmlessCamp Benji, [Legal Entity Name], its staff, contractors, and venue partners from claims arising out of ordinary negligence related to participation, except for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

12) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and defend us from third-party claims arising from your or the participant’s breach of these Terms or misconduct, to the extent permitted by law.

13) Disputes & governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, both parties will attempt good-faith resolution within 30 days after written notice. If unresolved, disputes may be brought in North Carolina state or federal courts in Mecklenburg County (unless prohibited by law). Small-claims court is encouraged where available.

14) Changes

We may update these Terms for program, legal, or safety reasons. We’ll post changes with a new “Last updated” date.
