Instructor Bio
Abraham Mike hails from a small town in southern Illinois. At 17, he enlisted in the United States Army as a forward observer (MOS 13F), where he excelled as the honor graduate from both basic combat training and forward observer school. Abraham served on a military funeral honors team, earning his honor guard tab, and was later deployed to Afghanistan with Task Force Phoenix during Operation Enduring Freedom.
Abraham's extensive experience extends into law enforcement, where he distinguished himself with top honors. At the police academy, he received the 99th Academy Firearms Award. He currently serves as a master police officer with the Dekalb County Police Department, one of the busiest departments in the Atlanta area. In his role, he is a field training officer in the East Precinct uniform division and frequently works with an Impact team addressing high-crime areas. His efforts have been recognized with multiple commendations for high-profile felony arrests.
In 2015, Abraham was named Officer of the Year for his precinct and subsequently honored as the Dekalb County Police Department Officer of the Year out of over 1100 officers. He was also a nominee for the Federal Housing Authority Officer of the Year and had the opportunity to speak in Washington D.C. about his law enforcement philosophy and experiences.
