How Reimbursements Work 

If an item is lost or damaged and it qualifies under your selected plan, you have two 

options: 

• Retail Reimbursement: Get up to 100% of the original retail cost if you choose to 

repurchase the item and provide a receipt. 

• Credit Option: Receive a The Laundry Lady LLC credit for the item’s current 

value if no receipt is available. 

What’s Not Covered 

We handle your laundry with care—washing on cold and drying on medium heat by default to help preserve your clothes.
That said, certain natural limitations of laundering are outside of our control and are not covered by the Protection Plan: 

• Shrinkage 

Some fabrics—especially delicates, knits, or loosely woven items—can shrink over time, even with cold water and medium heat. To help prevent this, we’re happy to hang-dry sensitive garments. If you have items you'd like hang-dried, please bag them separately and include a note with your request when scheduling your order. 

• Wear & Tear 

Small holes or thinning may occur as part of normal wear, especially in older garments or those with fragile seams. We do our best to treat each item gently, but standard laundering may accelerate wear in already weakened fabrics. 

• Color Transfer 

If laundry is not pre-sorted by the customer, there is a small risk of color bleeding between garments during washing. We offer color catcher sheets for $0.75 each, which can help reduce this risk—just let us know if you’d like to add them to your order. 

• Items Left in Pockets 

While we do our best to check, we are not responsible for damage caused by items 

left in pockets—like lip balm, pens, gum, or other materials. 

Our Process = Your Peace of Mind 

We pick up, wash, dry, and fold your laundry with care—using: 

• Cold wash by default (unless you request warm or hot water) 

• Medium heat drying unless otherwise noted 

Your laundry is never mixed with another client’s.
