Founded in 1977, initially as the first sperm bank in Spain and expanded into an IVF clinic in 1982, the CEFER Institute is one of the pioneers of reproductive medicine in Spain. The first egg donation was carried out here in 1993 and in 2001 the CEFER institute created the first egg bank in Spain. In addition, the CEFER Institute is the first clinic in Spain to offer IVF in the natural cycle. As a family business, the CEFER Institute has always deliberately avoided growing too much so as not to lose personal contact with patients. We attach great importance to individual support. Dr. Markus Nitzschke is one of the few German specialists in gynecology and obstetrics with an additional qualification in gynecological endocrinology and reproductive medicine in Spain.

During his further training at the Inselspital in Bern in 2009 and 2010, he worked in the team of Prof. Dr. Michael von Wolff made a decisive contribution to the development of IVF-Naturelle. After several stays abroad, including with Dr. Osamu Kato in Tokyo and Dr. John Zhang in New York, he was primarily concerned with the question of how to use the IVF-Naturelle techniques in patients with a low egg cell reserve when classic IVF stimulations no longer promise success.
