FINE ART - FEBRUARY 20, 2017

I have been a part of so many fun photo projects this last year, and I have met so many wonderful people here in Bend. 2017 however, is shaping up to be amazing! This was a wonderful day for a photoshoot and I got to spend it with an amazing group of ladies. They are not only super talented dancers, but their positive attitude and unique personalities made me love every minute of this super cold fine art photo session. I can honestly say I haven't laughed that hard as I did during the two hours we spent together at Shevlin Park. We not only managed to create some beautiful images together, but we also proved that it doesn't matter how cold or windy it is, dancers are the toughest athletes ... I might be biased here!

It was a a cold day in Shevlin Park, but that was not going to stop us from jumping around in tutus and pointe shoes! Add some talcum powder for a smokey effect and you are ready for some magic to happen!

Let's not forget to add some jokes and silliness to create a magic photo day!

FINE ART IMAGES

Though this was not at all a serious crowd, we got some serious work done. Walking through snow while dragging photography equipment is no piece of cake let me tell you! This proved to be a very effective workout for me and my assistant. I do have to say that it makes all the difference to have the right light with you at all times :)

Jenna wore black. I have worked with her before that created a very bright and colorful image, so I thought it would be a good idea to do the complete opposite this time.

It is important to have the right kind of assistant :) Thank you Nina for battling branches and getting the fabric to work with us!

Hannah was our lady in pink. Of course, Jenna being her very enthusiastic self made us all laugh when she got a little too into the fabric toss! We lost almost lost her in the snow a couple of times!

The beautiful Zoe. I have to admit I love love love her in red. For this image we tried a couple of things, but a combination of Jenna and Hannah made perfection!

Nina made the last image of the day. She became the perfect ice queen for this image. And she got the best assistant, her mom! They both rocked it!

HOW DID YOU DO THAT?

If you are into photography and post production, or if you are just curious, below are time lapse videos of how I created every single one of these 4 fine art images. Just click on the image and you will be able to see all the photoshop magic that is involved in this process :)
