Remembrance Day in Richmond, BC: Honouring Those Who Served Post

December 23, 20251 min read

Each year, the City of Richmond comes together to pause, reflect, and honour the courage and sacrifice of those who have served our country. This year’s Remembrance Day Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the Richmond Cenotaph, located on the east side of City Hall (6911 No. 3 Road).

Ceremony Schedule

The program begins at 10:20 a.m. with a parade featuring Canadian veterans, members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans, 39 Service Battalion, and representatives from public safety agencies and cadet organizations.

At 10:40 a.m., the official ceremony will commence, leading into two minutes of silence at 11:00 a.m. to honour and remember all who served and sacrificed. The silence will be followed by a ceremonial wreath laying.

Attending in Person or Online

For those wishing to reflect alongside the community, the ceremony offers a meaningful opportunity to gather and remember together. Those unable to attend in person can watch the ceremony online via the City of Richmond’s official broadcast — allowing everyone to take part in this important day of remembrance.

Parking, Accessibility, and Road Closures

Please note there will be temporary road closures surrounding City Hall on November 11th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There will be no public parking on site; however, a limited number of accessible stalls will be available. In consideration of the event’s nature, please leave your pets at home.
