Richmond is gearing up for a vibrant celebration of creativity, connection, and community as Culture Days 2025 kicks off on Thursday, September 19 and runs through Saturday, October 12. Now in its 16th year, Culture Days is a nationwide initiative that shines a spotlight on the diverse artists, traditions, and communities that enrich our local cultural landscape.
This year, Richmond will host more than 90 free interactive arts and culture experiences across the city. From pop-up performances and live music to hands-on workshops and family-friendly activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Kickoff Weekend at the Richmond Cultural Centre & Annex
The festivities begin with an exciting kickoff weekend:
Saturday, September 20 | 11 AM – 4 PM
Opening Ceremony at 11 AM, hosted by Mayor Malcolm Brodie.
Special musical performance by the Richmond Delta Youth Orchestra.
Sunday, September 21 | 10 AM – 4 PM
A full day of interactive cultural activities and community programming.

Explore Richmond’s Culture Day Hubs
Minoru Precinct and Steveston Village will be this year’s Culture Days Hubs. Each hub will feature its own lineup of engaging programs, offering visitors a chance to explore Richmond’s vibrant cultural heartbeat right in their own backyard.
