Our Journey Through Heartbreak

The Feeling of Heart Break
The last couple of days have been pretty rough. Adrian’s bowels haven’t woken up yet (post op ileus) and he had a lot of vomiting bile, so he had to have a nasogastric tube replaced to relieve this.
Today we got some worse news — although the tumor appears to be resected, the path came back as a clear cell sarcoma of the kidney (not a Wilms tumor). This means that baby Adrian needs to have radiation in addition to a harsher chemotherapy regimen. Sometimes it feels like one step forward, two step backs. The CCSK diagnosis was just a shock and we feel sorry that Adrian has to go through more treatment. We appreciate all of the positive vibes, prayers, and support from everyone. We can all use it for sure.
