Under the artistic direction of George Birkadze, the leadership and faculty of American Classical Ballet (ACB) are dedicated to cultivating the next generation of professional dancers. ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

George Birkadze

George Birkadze - ACB

George Birkadze is a renowned dance educator, director, and choreographer, known for his commitment to developing well-rounded, versatile artists. As the Artistic Director of the American Classical Ballet and its affiliated training program, he leads an intensive training initiative for pre-professional dancers that emphasizes both technical excellence and artistic expression. Under his guidance, the program offers unique performing and touring opportunities, giving students invaluable stage experience while refining their craft.

With a strong presence in the global dance community, Mr. Birkadze also serves on the jury of multiple prestigious international dance competitions and offers master classes to aspiring artists around the world. His expertise, passion for dance, and commitment to nurturing the next generation of dancers have made him a sought-after mentor and influential voice in the dance world.

ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

Ashley Ellis

Ashley Ellis - ACB

Ashley Ellis is a distinguished ballerina known for her exceptional artistry, technical precision, and versatile performances across the globe. A former principal dancer with the Boston Ballet, Ellis has graced some of the world’s most prestigious stages, captivating audiences with her elegant interpretations of both classical and contemporary works.

 

Throughout her career, Ellis has danced with renowned companies, including American Ballet Theatre, Corella Ballet, and Sarasota Ballet, where she collaborated with some of the most respected choreographers of our time. Her repertoire spans a wide array of classical ballets, from the timeless works of Petipa and Balanchine to cutting-edge contemporary pieces, demonstrating her remarkable ability to adapt to and elevate any style.

 

Now serving as Associate Director at the ACB Training Program's Senior Division, Ellis focuses on mentoring and coaching pre-professional dancers, with a deep commitment to nurturing both their technical and artistic growth. She provides invaluable guidance, preparing students for the rigors of professional dance by emphasizing discipline, artistry, self-expression, and wellness.
