Supporting individuals in recovery to access exercise in a safe and inclusive environment.
The Speed Freaks Charitable Trust was established in 2021. Our genesis story began with a run group at Odyssey House Mens residential programme in 2017 supported by our Programme Director.
Today Speed Freaks Magic is shared with new walkers and runners through their residential and day programmes as well as our community and Park Runs.
Our programme connects community, grows health and wellbeing and is delivered by community volunteers and peer volunteers, who have taken part in our groups.
Recovery Capital is an important part of our mahi. Well evidenced and documented strengths based approached to building and developing skills in three areas; personal, social and community capital. We are proud to support our participants in their personal journey growing recovery capital and our communities as we weave relationships of understanding, respect and inclusion.
