Nada has been awarded 20 under 40 professionals, California Women of Influence for Entrepreneurship in 2021, the Keynote Speaker Award from the Lebanese Collegiate Network, and the OC Sheriffs Award for her philanthropic work with at-risk youth.

Her remarkable journey is adorned with prestigious recognitions, including the title of “National Trailblazer” by Emerge America and the esteemed “Women Inspiring Nevada” accolade by Vegas Inc. With a rich background at MGM Resorts International, where she ascended from clerk to a corporate position over 18 years, Bustamante Adams has demonstrated resilience and excellence.
She repeatedly assisted in creating and executing national award-winning programs for the organization. Her dedication to public service led her to represent District 42 in the Nevada Assembly from 2010 to 2018, culminating in her role as Speaker Pro Tempore. In 2023, Bustamante Adams added another significant achievement to her portfolio by securing a position on the Clark County School Board, a remarkable feat in the fifth-largest school district in the nation with over 300,000 students.

When Jennifer took the helm of Kern Energy as CEO in 2018, she became one of just a few female CEOs in the refining industry – and the first in California. Jennifer stepped into an incredibly dynamic and challenging operating environment as she guided Kern Energy to a more public and collaborative approach to navigating California’s energy evolution. Under
Jennifer’s leadership the company has gone from being one of the first refineries in the nation to
produce renewable diesel to now having produced over 57 million gallons of renewable diesel while continuing to provide 1% of the state’s gasoline and 3% of its diesel fuel. She serves in leadership positions on the Board of Directors for the California Chamber of Commerce, as an at-large member of the Chamber’s Executive Committee, and on the Foundation Board of the California Science Center.
