Yes the full protocol is designed in a specific sequence. You start with back pain exercises, move to a whole body assessment and then start the scoliosis exercises. We don't recommend people who have back pain jump ahead to the scoliosis exercises. The Scoliosis Symmetry Method is just stretching for scoliosis and not designed to deal with back pain first.
As with the reviews and testimonials above some people have a reduction in curve angle but the older a person is the less likely this is. Almost everyone will experience a decrease in pain and an increase in mobility and strength.
There are a lot of exercises in the SSM and the Full Protocol and overwhelm is a common issue. That is why we have the Scoliosis Champions group were you can ask questions of other participants but also of the founder and his team
You will need some hand weights, ankle weights, resistance bands and some people like to put some 'grab bars' on the their walls to give them something to hold on to. This isn't necessary as just a wall or door frame will do but does help people feel traction. A full equipment list is provided in the program.
No, but it can help you identify your curve quickly. In the first part of the program you will learn how to identify exactly what type of curve you have so you can choose the correct exercises. As with learning anything new there will be a learning curve. Most people spend about 30-60mins a day learning the exercises and settle at around 30-45mins 5 days a week. You will be given a 3 month program to follow. This is the same pace that you would follow if you were working one on one with us.
