Welcome to Midwest Loss Appraisers (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using our services or visiting our website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before engaging with us.
Midwest Loss Appraisers provides impartial property loss valuation services in accordance with the Insurance Appraisal and Umpire Association (IAUA) standards. Our role is to determine the amount of loss—we do not assess policy coverage or cause of loss.
We maintain strict neutrality throughout the appraisal process. As Certified Property Insurance Appraisers, we comply with IAUA ethical standards and applicable state regulations. Any attempt to influence our independent judgment may result in immediate termination of the engagement.
By engaging our services, you agree to:
Provide accurate, complete, and timely information
Cooperate with the appraisal process, including access to the damaged property
Refrain from interfering with communications between appointed appraisers or umpires
Fees for services will be clearly outlined in our engagement agreement. Payment terms are as follows unless otherwise specified:
Fees are due within [X] days of invoice
Late payments may incur interest charges or suspension of service
Note: Our fees are for appraisal services only and do not include any legal or public adjusting services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Midwest Loss Appraisers shall not be liable for any indirect,
incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from:
Disputes over coverage interpretation
Delays caused by third parties or weather events
Outcomes resulting from the binding decision of an appraisal panel
Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount paid for our services in the matter.
All client information, documents, and case-related data are treated as confidential and will not be shared
with third parties except:
As required to complete the appraisal
As mandated by law
With express written permission
Either party may terminate services with written notice. Upon termination, the client remains responsible for any fees incurred up to that point.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin. Any disputes arising from our services shall be resolved in the courts located in Polk County, Wisconsin, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updates. The most current version will always be available on our website.
