The Business Mindset of a 7 Figures Business Owner

So many people become self-employed and think that they’ve set up this cracking business.

It pays the bills and leaves them enough for holidays, a social life and so on.

But the reality is that they’ve not created a business. They’re selling their time for money and they’ve created a J.O.B. They’re a self-employee.

Wouldn’t you rather be a businesspreneur?

1) Become a profit magnet

Businesspreneurs don’t think like other people.

They recognise two key things: the first is that your mind is your most priceless asset (along with your health). And the second is that your job is to think and not do. In fact, thinking is the only job you should be doing.

What businesspreneurs do is create and own a system that other people run for them. And they price their products and services to include the costs of their employee, freelancer or outsourcer AND a profit for themselves.

Thinking like a businesspreneur means the system runs whilst you are asleep or on holiday, so you become a massive profit magnet with unlimited income potential.

Sounds good, right?

2) To serve is to lead

I believe that everyone is born for a reason. Businesspreneurs believe this too and for them, impact comes before incomes. They know their reason for being, or their WHY. And this gives them immense clarity and that clarity creates positive power.

If you follow this approach, it will enable you to create a mission fuelled by passion and worth dedicating your life to. And do you know what that means? You will be in your flow, with a laser-sharp focus on your goals. You will be unstoppable!

Ask yourself: How can I add value? How can I be my very best while being of service?

3) Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth

Businesspreneurs are leaders.

To be a businesspreneur you need to be like a football manager and get the best performance out of your team. You lead from the front, empowering your employees, freelancer or outsourcers to be the best version of themselves. You are also an influencer and you create an amazing, high-performance culture that encourages people to learn, be inspired and expect the best performance from themselves.

Did you know that leaders who demonstrate empathy, compassion and humility obtain greater commitment and a higher performance level from their employees? So, encourage open communication and feedback and treat feedback like the gift that it is.

4) Turn the thermostat up!

Think about the thermostat in your house. If you set it to 20 degrees, that’s the temperature it will be. No higher or lower.

It’s the same with money. Whatever your financial thermostat is set to is what you’ll be at. That’s why so many people never seem to be able to earn above a certain amount. Your financial thermostat is derived from your money mindset which is your unique set of beliefs, attitudes and emotions around money.

People who have a healthy money mindset believe that there is loads of money in the world, and that they have the freedom to spend if they want to. They play the game to win. People who have a scarcity mindset tend to panic about money, like to do things on the cheap rather than investing the right amount of money to get the right returns, and fear losing their money. They play the game not to lose.

If you want to earn 7 figures you need your financial thermostat to be set for 7 figures. If you don’t believe you can hit 7 figures then you won’t and no amount of hard work will change that. You need to think and act like a 7-figure business owner.

5) Extraordinary people leverage

Learn how to get more done by leveraging three important things:

System leverage through automation can bring loads of benefits such as lower operation costs, stress reduction, fewer working hours, faster ROI and cost savings.

Time leverage is achieving the biggest result with the least amount of effort. It is about simplifying and finding the quickest route to the result you want. Using time leverage is a simple strategy for business success. It’s like cutting fat off your bacon to become a lean piece of bacon medallion

Money leverage is maximising money or borrowing money to increase a possible return of an investment. Financial leverage is a powerful tool because it allows investors and companies to earn income from assets they wouldn’t normally be able to maximise.

6) Know your numbers

If you hated maths at school, don’t worry because this is a different type of maths. It’s plain common sense applied to your business to create a roadmap to success.

Businesspreneurs have a Maths Mindset and work out their business strategy through numbers. They know their numbers inside out and what it takes to make 7 figures+, e.g.

2000 products x £500 unit price = £1m.

39 products a month x £500 = £19500

10 products a week x £500 = £5000

2 products a day x £500 = £1000

Your mindset will be target driven through numbers. Create daily, weekly and monthly income targets that will help you achieve your £1m.

7) I believe I can fly

Businesspreneurs know that self-belief is critical to success. That doesn’t mean that believing in yourself is about uninterrupted success. It’s about finding your inner strength even when you experience setbacks, so that you can maximise your superpower.

It’s about having total faith in your capabilities and trusting yourself to deliver. And it’s about mastering self-doubt, self-sabotage and imposter syndrome.

You don’t offer discounts, or you only get paid for some of your worth. You get paid for the value you bring to the market and the results you bring to the table. And you spend time with the right people because you know you are the average of the 5 people you hang around with.

8) 24/7 Income

Businesspreneurs have a passive income mindset and learn how to get paid 24 hours a day without working for it.

If you start by earning enough passive income to cover your bills you can say goodbye forever to any cash flow panic. And it means that you are living within your means for free. If your bills total £10k per month, ask yourself what income strategies you could implement that will produce you £10K and don’t cost you any more time.

9) Shrink your problems

Here’s a great quote from Jim Rohn:

“Don’t wish it was easier, wish you were better.”

7 Figure business owners know that having daily challenges is part and parcel of being a businesspreneur. What separates them from other people is that they embrace their challenges and move towards their issue not away from it. They know, patience, politeness, communication and negotiation are the key to resolving any conflict. By embracing their challenges, they nip them in the bud.

And they know that the more their mindset grows through personal development the smaller any potential challenges become.

10) Become a JFDI Master

We are all responsible for our choices and actions and recognising this is the first step towards self-accountability, the highest form of accountability.

JFDI Masters are shining examples of this. They are self-disciplined and self-accountable, as well as using their power for good.

You are the first and last line of defence for your integrity, and practising self-discipline is your primary method for improving your life, and for pursuing good things because you desire them.

7 figure business owners are masters at self-accountability and self-discipline. They’re also masters at showing up and taking action. The simple fact remains that, in life, we are not rewarded for what we know or what we talk about, but for what we do.

It’s time to JFDI.
