The results reflect a shifting political mood as governance issues, corruption controversies, and impeachment narratives dominated the public conversation toward the end of 2025. Analysts note that trust ratings often move alongside perceptions of crisis management, decisiveness, and consistency in leadership.

For President Marcos, the dip does not automatically translate into rejection, but it does signal growing public scrutiny—particularly amid heightened attention on infrastructure controversies, budget issues, and accountability debates.

Vice President Duterte’s rising numbers, meanwhile, suggest consolidation of her support base, fueled by a strong law-and-order image and public perception of firmness amid political turbulence.

Political observers caution against reading surveys as predictions. Rather, they function as snapshots of public sentiment, influenced by timing, news cycles, and unresolved national issues.
