By participating in the Worcester County News Foodie Spotlight Program, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions
1. Purpose of the Program
Worcester County News (“WCN”) provides local promotional exposure through articles, video features, social media posts, and community giveaways (collectively referred to as “Spotlight Content”). The intent of this program is to celebrate and highlight local Worcester County restaurants in a positive and engaging manner.
2. No Guarantee of Results
While every effort is made to promote participating restaurants according to WCN’s established publishing and marketing practices, WCN does not guarantee any specific results, including but not limited to increased sales, followers, engagement, or exposure. Performance will vary based on audience behavior, timing, and participation from the featured business.
3. Content Rights
All video and article content produced by WCN remains the property of Worcester County News. Participating restaurants are granted a royalty-free, non-exclusive right to share, repost, or embed the Spotlight Content on their own websites and social media pages with proper credit to Worcester County News.
4. Restaurant Participation
The participating restaurant agrees to:
• Provide complimentary food options of their choice for up to two (2) Spotlight guests for filming purposes.
• Allow photography and videography inside the restaurant during the scheduled visit.
• Cooperate with WCN’s team to ensure a smooth filming experience.
• Provide gift cards to WCN to be used as giveaways to increase new visitors and encourage supporting local.
5. Promotion & Sharing
WCN will promote the restaurant’s Spotlight Content across its official channels following internal guidelines for maximum exposure. Whenever possible, WCN will tag the business’s social accounts. Restaurants are strongly encouraged to share the Spotlight video and articles on their own social media and to involve their team in helping distribute the post. A fun idea is to make it a staff challenge—for example, reward the team member whose shared post gets the most likes, comments, or shares. This collaboration helps both parties reach more local customers and build excitement in the community.
6. Giveaways (if applicable)
Restaurants participating in a Spotlight giveaway agree to provide gift card(s) or similar prize as described in the selected package. WCN will manage the promotion and winner selection in accordance with its standard social media practices. Please do not provide gift cards to the Foodie Spotlighters on the night of arrival. We can coordinate with you via email to let you know the winners and they can come in to see you directly to use their gift card.
7. Limitation of Liability
Worcester County News LLC, its owners, investors, affiliates, and contractors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the program. Participation is voluntary and at the restaurant’s own discretion.
8. No Refund Policy
Due to the time, planning, and resources invested in producing each Spotlight feature, all payments made to Worcester County News are non-refundable. This program operates as a quarterly subscription, and your payment method will be automatically charged every ninety (90) days. You may cancel at any time by providing at least seven (7) business days’ notice prior to your next billing date. To cancel, please email [email protected] with the subject line: “FOODIES SPOTLIGHT.”
9. Eligibility
This program is available only to restaurants located within Worcester County, Massachusetts. WCN reserves the right to decline participation if the business is located outside this area or does not meet editorial guidelines.
10. Agreement
By enrolling in the Foodie Spotlight Program and submitting payment, you confirm that you are an authorized representative of the restaurant and that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
