I've had my fair share of not great dental experiences over the years... so when I highly recommend a dentist office, you know they must be amazing! And they are! Dr. McKay is excellent and very calming and does great work and his entire staff make every visit a positive one! They are skilled, gentle, upbeat... their work environment has such a great feel it helps to put you at ease! We first found them a few years ago when we had insurance that they took, However, we have changed jobs and no longer have dental coverage right now, --but we are more than willing to pay out of pocket to continue to call them our dental place! (Plus - they offer a monthly membership for uninsured that helps with the costs!) Highly Recommend!

Yesterday was my first appointment at this clinic...I was pleasantly surprised at everything that I experienced! The Staff are phenominal, efficient, friendly and highly alert as to any concerns a Patient may have. Upon arrival, Dani and Katie took me thru' all the preliminaries that a new Patient participates in....and these two did it with a great sense of expertise! The Doctor was incredibly nice, complimented my tooth care routines, and he has a perfect sense of humor! The entire office's atmosphere was one of comfort and would put even the 'anxious" among us at ease!....I am very happy that I made the decision to try a new place, and I certainly was not disappointed in The Selah Creek Dental Clinic! "Selah has always been a special place for me. I met my wife in Selah 10 years ago and I have always felt a wonderful connection with the community. As the owner of Selah Creek Dental, I am committed to helping the community, as well as providing a comfortable and caring environment. What I enjoy most about being a dentist is really getting to know my patients. I want people to feel comfortable talking and sharing their concerns and feel like they are with friends, and not just a chart number.
I love having the opportunity to provide dental care for the residents of Selah and the surrounding communities. My favorite part of being a dentist is building lasting relationships with patients. From a baby's first tooth all the way to your 100th birthday, helping patients achieve the smile they are happy with is my goal for all patients. Happiness is different for everyone, so whether it is helping you get the smile of your dreams, or just keeping your mouth healthy, we are here to help.
I really try to encourage a relaxed atmosphere at our practice. We understand that coming to the dentist is not always everyone's favorite part of the day, so we try to promote an atmosphere where we can all laugh, talk, and have an environment where it's okay to be nervous, but we will do our best to help you relax. Whether that is using nitrous and medications to relax you, or just joking around, we try our best to make you feel comfortable.
I enjoy spending time with my wife and three children, golfing (poorly), working out, cheering for the Seahawks (loudly), attempting to cook, and making the best worst dad jokes. I am also a member of the Yakima Dental Society, ADA, and Selah Chamber of Commerce."
