Imagine the nightmare of your furry friend getting bitten by a snake - the panic of seeing your dog tangling with the snake, getting your dog away safely, and finding your nearest emergency vet in a hurry while your dog is starting to show symptoms…

But what if this was all avoidable?

That’s why Every Day Dogs has teamed up with professional dog trainer Marra Apgar to offer the Dog Safe Snake Avoidance Program. We want to prevent a serious bite that ends in heartache.

Just like potty training or learning a new trick, your pup can also be taught a rock solid snake response - to leave the snake - anywhere, any time, no matter what else is going on. Kids running around screaming, smells of other interesting animals, in a totally new place… It won’t matter.

This program is designed for both dogs and their owners to face fears head-on in a safe environment. It’s a wonderful way to invest in you and your pup's future together…

Teach your dog to run to you and joyfully alert you to the presence of a snake without stopping to poke, lick,  nibble, or attack it!

Don’t wait until it’s too late. Get started on prevention as soon as next week!

Note: this program is 100% shock collar and pain-free and will not cause fear or anxiety for your pup.

FAQs

You can’t train dogs remotely!! What are you talking about?

Covid taught us that we can successfully learn and work remotely.

There are even benefits to remote training in the comfort of your own home.

When you have the opportunity to see people and dogs within their own environment, you will begin to see responses and criteria that owners don’t realise are important, but could make all the difference to successful training outcomes.

Are there any prerequisites for the program?

To ensure optimal results, there are a few prerequisites for joining this program:

a) You use marker-based reward training (clicker training, marker words, positive reinforcement, etc.)
b) Your dog already has a good (but not necessarily awesome) recall
c) Your dog has been trained to do "tricks" on cue or obedience behaviours before

If you’re unsure if you meet the prerequisites, we’re more than happy to hop on a call and discuss with you!

When does the program start?

We offer rolling enrolment so you can start the program as soon as next week.

Why don’t you use a shock collar for training?

There’s no way to tell which dogs will be traumatised by shock based snake avoidance training.

We want your dog to learn without fear or anxiety.

Additionally, there’s no way to be sure that your dog will “generalise” being afraid of snakes in places outside where they were trained with this type of short aversion training.
