Dr. Shih is a dual-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon whose blend of surgical precision and artistic sensibility produces consistently natural, refined results. She holds certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the American Board of Plastic Surgery—an achievement shared by only a select group of surgeons—and brings advanced fellowship training in Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery from Johns Hopkins to her practice.
A graduate of Cornell University (liberal arts and science), Dr. Shih combines a rigorous medical foundation with an eye for proportion and form. She completed her plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery training at the University of Toronto before pursuing subspecialty fellowship training at Johns Hopkins University. Her clinical roles include Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) with McMaster University’s Department of Surgery and Plastic Surgery Associate Staff at Halton Healthcare — Milton District Hospital.
Dr. Shih is committed to evidence-based, patient-first care. She specializes in minimally invasive approaches that prioritize natural outcomes, minimal scarring and faster recovery, and continually updates her practice with the latest techniques and technologies. Her professional affiliations include the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and candidate membership in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
