LORD, WHY AM I NOT HEALED?

LORD, WHY AM I NOT HEALED?
Over the years, I have often asked the Lord that question. And over all the years of walking with the Lord, I have been given the same answer: silence. However, from the family of God, the answer is always, KEEP PRAYING AND HAVE FAITH. So year after year, it is always a battle between me, the Word, and my inner confusion about how much prayer, how much faith, and why I am not given some relief. At this point in this post, I am going to assume that I am not alone in this struggle. If you're there with me, then be ready to enter” THE HEALING ZONE”, where either you receive this teaching, or it ends up in the round file of disappointment. I pray that it is the former.
Hebrews 11:1-3 (NASB) Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
2: For by it the men of old gained approval.
3: By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which were visible.
This set of scripture verses can be confusing. Still, it is self-explanatory if you take one word at a time, understand it, and then, after examining all the words, put them together; understanding will reveal itself.
First, take the word, Faith. I need only point to one scripture,
Ephesians 2:8-9 (NASB) For by grace you have been saved through faith; and not of yourself, it is a gift from God.
Whatever your circumstances at the time of your salvation were, God gave you grace because your heart was reaching out to Him, desiring something to correct and fill the void you instinctively knew you needed to fill. You had no idea what you were seeking, nor that you needed a savior. Because of your heart's cry, He imparted that grace, and you responded with your mini faith, which led to salvation. You could not have done this conversion on your own, but through Christ's sacrifice on the cross, it became a free gift extended to you and all who answer the call. It was not by results of good works or anything you could have ever done, but wholly and only by God.
Now go back and read Hebrews to see that scripture with the understanding of the words in Ephesians. Things become clear in that God took something that was stirring in your heart, in the hope that you would find what you needed. You supplied nothing to make it happen. Once faith was activated in you, the desire for that thing you didn't know you needed became a reality—something from nothing; it's incredible.
This was the same for the men of old who gained God’s approval. They took the word of God as their promise and lived by it. They didn’t see it as something to be had in the great by and by but believed that if God said it, that no matter what, it had to be fact, and all they needed to do was act as if they already had acquired it. No doubt, no questions asked.
Now, what do you understand about your salvation? Are you comfortable with your understanding of what it means to be saved, or are you like 90% of Christians and believe you’re going to heaven and that is enough? I know it's great to miss the bullet, and you're not going to spend eternity in hell, but I have news for you. Your salvation is just the beginning, and the remainder of fulfilling the Christian walk requires much, much more.
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NASB) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things have passed away; behold, new things have come.
What does it mean, “you are a new creation”? Before salvation, you were under condemnation. That is, you were under Adm’s sin of rebellion, and your spirit was dark and without life. All the world's influence was on you in everything you learned from birth to salvation. All those lessons were infused with wrong application in your life because you know only one thing: how to be rebellious against the Creator of Life. Suppose you learned patients, those patients that you learned were limited and had their boundaries. Once you meet the outer limits of those patients, watch out, all that is there is chaos. The same goes for everything you thought you mastered before salvation. After salvation, you entered what I like to call “THE SCHOOL OF THE SPIRIT”. You received the Holy Spirit, who is our Teacher and our guide to the walk we entered. Each trial He leads us through, He chips away the old man's understanding of what we thought we mastered, and we grow in Him little by little. Patients become like Christ in that it is an ongoing process, and you become the example of Godly patients to all who witness your journey in Christ. Sometimes that is the only draw to salvation, that others may be drawn to the cross. The verse says that “NEW THINGS HAVE COME”. I LIKE TO SAY THAT NEW THINGS WILL COME THROUGH TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS.” Rejoice in them because the Lord is glorified through them.
If you have been reading my 1-800 postings, you know I try to insert my personal experiences to show readers that the things I speak of are meant for us today. The word is clear: everything the early church experienced is for us today. They were no different than us. They needed to rely on God in every trial as we do today. All the gifts of the Spirit are as active today as they were in the days Peter walked in the Holy Land. Many of us have been told that the gifts were only for the early church, but this teaching is false. Never listen to such foolishness. That teaching has infested the church to the point that it is weak and easily influenced by the world.
For the past year, I have been having trouble with my balance and an extreme amount of dizziness. I was experiencing blacking out and falling without warning. The falls thankfully did not incur physical injury, just a bit of light damage, not serious. My wife set up a few doctor visits, and, since it wasn't a standard health issue, the cost kept rising. Eventually, I had to get a couple of brain scans and had to be seen by a brain surgeon. The results were depressing. Apparently, on the left side of my brain, the smaller venules are collapsing. That is what is causing the blackouts. The final word of the doctors was that I had to learn to live with it. Advice was not to bend over and not to look up because both would cause me to blackout. Wonderful, can you imagine what kind of life that would be?
Just a few days ago, I woke up early, as usual, and swung my legs over the side of the bed, preparing to stand, which was always very sketchy in the morning. As I sat up, the Holy Spirit spoke to me: “I have healed you.” That was all He said, not a big announcement, just a still small voice that only I could hear, I have healed you. I sat there with a cheesy grin on my face, let out a little chuckle, and stood up. No dizziness, clear-headed and full of joy. That was it, just that, simple and profound. He healed me.
One thing I must interject in this posting. When I read the word of God, there is no doubt that everything the lord had written in that book has become fact in my heart and mind. If it is in the word, it is a fact. If it tells me that God is my healer, He is; if he says I am a new creature in Christ, I am. If he says that I can do all things in Christ, then I can, no wavering; it is just a matter of time before it is activated. That is how I view things that are in the Word of God; it is true because He spoke it, and that is a fact. And you cannot convince me otherwise. Let God be true, and every man be a liar. PERIOD!
So what do I want you to know from this teaching? No, what does the Holy Spirit want you to know? That He is the rewarder of him who diligently seeks the truth that is in Him. Your responsibility is simple: Believe that He has written in His book all that He has given to you to be effective, and all the tools you will ever need to be a complete warrior for the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. But you first believe that at your salvation, you are no longer a useless human being, but now you are a new creature, more powerful and effective when properly equipped, when you desire everything He has for you.
