1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website, booking services, or submitting payment to La Rue Mobile Notary ("we," "our," "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or our services.
2. Description of Services
La Rue Mobile Notary provides mobile notary public services in compliance with the laws of the State of Illinois, including: Real Estate and Loan Closing notarizations, General notarizations, Estate Planning document notarizations, Apostille facilitation services. La Rue Mobile Notary is commissioned in the State of Illinois. We are not attorneys and do not provide legal advice, legal interpretation, or document preparation unless expressly permitted by law.
3. Online Booking and Payments
Our website allows clients to: Request and schedule appointments, select services, submit payment in advance. Appointments are not considered confirmed until payment is received and a confirmation notice is issued. All fees, including Illinois statutory notarial fees and any applicable travel, convenience, after-hours, or expedited service fees, are clearly disclosed prior to payment.
4. Client Responsibilities
By booking services with La Rue Mobile Notary, you represent and agree that: You are at least 18 years of age, you will present valid, unexpired government-issued photo identification as required by Illinois law. All signers will be physically present at the time of notarization. All documents will be complete and ready for notarization. All signers are acting willingly, knowingly, and without coercion. Failure to meet these requirements may result in refusal of service.
5. Fees, Travel Charges, and Payment Terms
Notarial fees are charged in accordance with Illinois law. Travel, convenience, after-hours, same-day, or expedited service fees may apply. Payment is due prior to or at the time of service, as stated during booking. Payment covers time reserved and travel commitments and is not contingent upon document acceptance, recording, or loan funding.
6. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and No-Shows
Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours prior to the appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiture of fees. If an appointment cannot proceed due to missing identification, incomplete documents, or signer incapacity, fees may still apply.
7. Right to Refuse Service
La Rue Mobile Notary reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if: Proper identification is not provided, a signer appears unwilling, confused, or mentally incapacitated, the request violates Illinois notary law or ethical standards; fraud, coercion, or unlawful activity is suspected.
8. Apostille Services Disclaimer
Apostille services provided by La Rue Mobile Notary are facilitation services only. We do not guarantee: Processing timelines, acceptance by foreign governments or authorities. Fees paid for apostille services cover preparation, handling, and submission and may be non-refundable once processing has begun.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Illinois law: La Rue Mobile Notary is not responsible for the legality, accuracy, or content of documents notarized. We are not liable for errors originating from documents prepared by others. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service provided.
10. Website Use and Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, logos, images, and layout, is the property of La Rue Mobile and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission. You agree not to misuse this website or attempt unauthorized access.
11. Third-Party Platforms
This website may use third-party providers for: Appointment scheduling, payment processing, website hosting and analytics. Use of third-party platforms is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. La Rue Mobile Notary is not responsible for third-party practices.
