The Vision
A young family with deep European roots envisioned a home that would feel as though it had stood for a century—gracefully aged, generously scaled, and quietly grand.
Design Approach
We organized the plan around a central limestone courtyard with a fountain at its heart. Hand-troweled plaster, reclaimed terracotta, and cathedral-vaulted ceilings give every room the gravitas of an Italian villa, while modern systems remain entirely concealed.
Standout Features
Three-story stone tower with library and observation room
Vaulted great room with hand-hewn reclaimed timber trusses
Chef's kitchen with dual marble islands and wood-burning hearth
Subterranean wine cellar with tasting salon

Materials & Craftsmanship
Hand-hewn beams and flooring sourced from 18th-century European barns, restored and re-laid by specialty craftsmen.
Old-world Venetian plaster walls applied in layered washes for depth and warmth.
Hand-cut Texas limestone exteriors paired with imported marble baths and floors.
Collaboration
A four-year collaboration with a classically trained architect and a London-based interior designer. The owners traveled to Tuscany with our team to source materials and millwork details on-site.
