In August 2020, just after the height of the pandemic, Fort Smith needed a strong voice to reclaim our community identity. That's when our founder, Arkansas State Representative Jay Richardson, had a vision of an upscale, unity-minded establishment to foster and nourish a sense of togetherness here in Fort Smith. His dream — along with the support from family & friends — led to the idea of a vintage-modern speakeasy, a gathering place where everyone was not only welcomed but celebrated; thus, "Prohibition" was born!

Ever since, our dedicated team has worked tirelessly to make our social lounge a unique place for friends and family to gather and embrace one another in a sense of community. Together, we hope to always make Prohibition feel like a place that anyone can gather and feel a sense of belonging!
