Food Lab Supervisor
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Laboratory Supervisor to lead our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in molecular biology and microbiology, along with proven project management skills. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation of our research laboratory, maintaining high standards of laboratory procedures, and overseeing data collection processes. The Laboratory Supervisor will be responsible for fostering a collaborative environment that promotes scientific excellence and innovation.
Duties
Supervise daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Oversee the execution of laboratory procedures, including molecular biology and microbiology techniques.
Manage projects effectively, coordinating resources and timelines to meet research objectives.
Implement and maintain Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for efficient data tracking and reporting.
Train and mentor laboratory staff in histology techniques and other relevant methodologies.
Conduct regular evaluations of laboratory performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support clinical laboratory initiatives and research projects.
Ensure accurate data collection and analysis to support ongoing research efforts.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific field; advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience in a research laboratory setting, with strong knowledge of molecular biology and microbiology techniques.
Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is highly desirable.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team, fostering collaboration and professional development among staff members.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly.

Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
