Attorney Levito D. Baligod has disclosed that several individuals connected to the group of 18 former Marines allegedly experienced threats and intimidation before publicly speaking out.

According to Baligod, at least three individuals reportedly had their homes entered, allegedly as a form of intimidation.

He stated that these individuals were former colleagues of his clients linked to a previous workplace under a resigned congressman.

Baligod further revealed that two of the former Marines allegedly received threatening text messages even before they came forward on February 24.

The reported message read:

“Mag-ingat kayo at kung hindi ninyo mapataob ang gobyerno, meron kayong kalalagyan.”

The message was described as a warning tied to their planned disclosure.

Claims of Intimidation to Silence Witnesses

According to Baligod, the alleged incidents—including both the reported house entries and threatening messages—may have been intended to discourage others from coming forward.

Meanwhile, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Atty. Melvin Matibag stated that there are currently no formal complaints or findings regarding the alleged threats.

He encouraged those involved to file official reports or blotter entries so that authorities can properly investigate the matter.

Without formal documentation, the NBI emphasized that they cannot yet proceed with a full investigation.
