Melanie Lopez, the owner of Bluegrass Bourbon Tours, is a strong advocate for restorative justice. She is committed to supporting The Prisoner’s Hope, a faith-based ministry that provides critical support to men, women, and their families impacted by incarceration.
• Transforming Lives: The Prisoner’s Hope offers a unique program of holistic care, with mentoring and counseling services offered before, during, and after incarceration. Their focus goes beyond simply reducing recidivism rates. They aim to transform individuals and families, creating a ripple effect of positive change throughout the community.
• Impressive Results: In just nine years, The Prisoner’s Hope has helped over 1,000 people and boasts a 70% success rate in helping individuals reintegrate into society after prison. These numbers speak volumes about the effectiveness of their programs.

Honoring Heroes: USA Cares
Melanie, a US veteran herself, is deeply committed to supporting those who have served our country. That’s why Bluegrass Bourbon Tours is proud to be a sponsor of USA Cares’ annual “We Salute You” Gala.
• USA Cares Mission: This organization provides vital assistance to veterans and military families facing financial hardship. Their support includes grants for service-connected emergencies, combat injury relief, career transition assistance, and housing aid.
• The Gala: Join us in celebrating USA Cares at their upcoming gala on Saturday, July 27th, 2024 at The Galt House in Louisville, KY. This black-tie optional event features a gourmet dinner, silent and live auctions, and a powerful presentation from retired Major General Julie Bentz.
