Nicole van Kuppeveld’s journey into leadership development began on the front lines—supporting over 1000 clients on stress leave as a vocational counsellor. What she discovered? It wasn’t the work burning people out, it was toxic, outdated leadership.

That discovery led her to build Organizations by Design Inc., driven by the belief that leadership must evolve—and that change starts with us.

Nicole’s approach blends systems thinking, emotional intelligence, and experiential learning to create lasting change in organizations.

Meet the Team

Anthea– Marketing Intern

Hi, I’m Anthea, a creative digital marketer who also gets a little nerdy when it comes to numbers.

I started my career in journalism and PR, telling stories for tech and FMCG brands long before I learned how to read a dashboard. Over time, I realized that the most compelling stories don’t just come from creativity; they come from understanding what truly matters to people. That curiosity eventually led me to pursue my Master’s in Data Analytics, where I learned how to turn numbers into insights and insights into action.

Now, at Organizations by Design, I get to bring both sides of myself together. I support digital marketing and outreach for the Women’s Leadership Series — crafting messages, building content, and shaping campaigns that help the programs reach the people who need them. It’s been incredibly meaningful to see how thoughtful communication can spark engagement and help a community grow.

Before this, I worked across multi-channel campaigns using tools like Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and SEO data to figure out what works (and why). I love that blend of instinct and evidence, the creativity of storytelling paired with the clarity that data brings.

Outside of work, I’m a travel enthusiast who loves discovering new cultures and picking up bits of different languages along the way (fun fact: I can say "hello" in more than 10 languages). I’m also a big fan of coffee and cafés — so if you have recommendations, please send them my way. I’m always happy to meet new people, hear fresh ideas, and learn from different perspectives.

Mary Apple Badilla – Automation & Systems Support

As a dedicated virtual assistant with a focus on systems and automation, I bring hands-on experience in supporting the day-to-day operations and digital infrastructure of Organizations by Design Inc. Through my work with tools such as GoHighLevel, CRM systems, and workflow automation, I am able to support the team in creating more efficient, organized, and client-centered processes.

Working in a fast-paced and evolving environment has allowed me to continuously learn, adapt, and grow. I enjoy being part of building systems that not only support internal operations but also enhance the overall client experience from initial engagement to ongoing communication and support.

At Organizations by Design Inc., I find fulfillment in contributing behind the scenes—whether it’s through funnel building, automation, website updates, or campaign support. I value being part of a team that is committed to creating meaningful and practical learning experiences for leaders and their organizations.

My goal is to provide consistent, thoughtful support that helps the team operate smoothly and continue delivering impactful work to the clients and communities we serve.

Giving Back to Women, For Women

At OBDI, we believe meaningful leadership includes giving back to causes that truly matter. We are proud to support women’s mental health and wellbeing through a charitable initiative close to our hearts.

Nicole and her co-authors wrote a heartfelt book exploring the transformative power of friendship and its vital role in women’s mental health. 50% of all book proceeds are donated to the Lois Hole Hospital Women’s Society, supporting programs, research, and care for women.

This commitment reflects our belief that when women are supported, communities and cultures thrive.
