Who am I?
I'm just a soul following my path
Hello, my name is Manon, I am originally French, but with a traveler soul and a Spanish accent when I speak Portuguese.
I am in my thirties, mum of two little ones, holistic tattoo artist, graphic designer, therapist, surfer, yogist in my spare time and above all passionate about life.
I am based in Aljezur, on the west coast of Algarve, in the south of Portugal, stirred between the wind and the waves, where I practice my art with the intention of bringing a little awareness and softness to this world.

Before anything else, I am a woman walking her path — gently, curiously, and sometimes fiercely — in search of truth, healing, and purpose.
I believe we each carry a mission in this lifetime, and mine is unfolding day by day, with presence and introspection as my guides.
A mother, constantly evolving
Motherhood has cracked me open in ways I never expected.
I am the grateful mama of two beautiful souls who teach me, challenge me, and show me the depths of unconditional love.
They also remind me daily of the need to slow down, breathe, and find strength in softness.
An intuitive tattoo artist
Tattooing is my sacred craft. I work in my private studio, Studio Lyra, where each session is a co-creation — a ritual of beauty, energy, and meaning.
I believe tattoos can be portals, talismans, or simply mirrors of who we are becoming.
My approach is holistic, intuitive, and deeply personal.
A creator and connector
Beyond tattooing, I am passionate about creative expression and the balance between work and family life — especially for mothers.
That’s why I created As Working Mamas, a growing network for entrepreneurial mothers who dream, create, and support each other while raising the next generation.
How I became a tattoo artist?
I never imagined I would become a tattoo artist — which is probably why I’ve never truly identified with the tattoo culture as we usually picture it.
My background is actually in graphic design. Tattooing came into my life unexpectedly. After finishing my degree, I started studying fine arts because I wanted to learn how to sketch for my clients. A tattoo-artist friend began looking through my sketchbook and giving me advice — always with a tattoo mindset. The day he left, he handed me a tattoo machine. It was one week before my exams.
The first time I ever held a tattoo machine, I tattooed myself… and I instantly fell in love.
Tattooing found me, and suddenly my art made sense.
I went to my exams, quit my studies, and for the first time, I stopped being ashamed of my drawings. I understood why I had spent all those years filling sketchbooks.
Through every creative form I explored — photography since I was 10, graphic design since I was 15 — I was always trying to “make people smile and transmit good energy in a single glance.”
Tattooing became the most intimate and powerful way to do that. When you create consciously, in alignment with the person in front of you, your art becomes their talisman — something that protects, strengthens, and reconnects them whenever they need it.
And that’s what truly made me a tattoo artist.
My way of working is rooted in the belief that if your body and soul are seeking a talisman — and I am the right person to create it — our paths will cross at the perfect moment.
For me, conscious tattooing means being fully aware of why you’re getting a tattoo, and of the intention and energy you want to anchor into it. It’s taking the time to choose each symbol with meaning, so the tattoo becomes a talisman that protects, supports, and guides you on your path.
On a therapeutic level, every time we revisit an experience, we feel the same emotions that shaped it. Emotions create hormones, and hormones influence our physical state. A mindful, holistic tattoo aligns the energy of the design with the energy of the tattooing moment.
So each time you look at your tattoo, you reconnect with the intention and the healing energy infused into it.
I began my spiritual journey very young, and it deepened at 18, when I became seriously ill.
Since then, I’ve spent more than a decade practicing energy work for myself, along with daily yoga and meditation.
Over the years, I’ve trained in personal development and sacred feminine practices, and I’m deeply inspired by Buddhist philosophy and Chinese medicine. I’m also Reiki attuned.
I’m someone who is always questioning, learning, and seeking a deeper connection between my being and my soul.
What I love most about my work is the positive, healing impact it can have on the people who trust me. Today, clients reach out not only for my designs, but for my sensitivity, my presence, and my holistic approach.
I have the honor of working on deeply personal projects — sometimes shaped by painful stories — and my greatest joy is to transform all of that into a delicate, meaningful tattoo. A talisman that supports healing, anchors intention, and harmonizes naturally with the body.
I work from home, in alignment with my own energy and inspiration. Even without fixed vacations or days off, I’m endlessly passionate about what I do and deeply grateful for the life I’ve been able to build — both personally and professionally.
In all honesty, my biggest challenge is my perfectionism and my constant desire to create more and do better. Working alone, managing everything, and being a mother of two young children is a beautiful but intense balance.
I’m full of ideas and extremely detail-oriented, and lately the hardest part has been accepting that I can’t do everything at once — and learning to let go.
Creating a design from nothing for someone I don’t know is a delicate process. That’s why the most important part of my work is actually the part that isn’t paid — the time spent exchanging with my client until I fully understand their project.
I often go back and forth by email for weeks before accepting a design, because I need precise information about the idea, but above all, I need to make sure my client is truly ready for her tattoo — fully connected to the symbols, the intention, and the energy she wants to carry on her skin.
Sometimes this requires gentle introspection, which I help guide.
And sometimes, everything aligns very quickly.
Once the intention is clear, I begin the creation. I follow my intuition, assemble elements, sketch freely, and let myself be guided by both the story and the energy of my client.
I always send the design a few days before the tattoo session, so there is time for adjustments and so my client can truly connect with it.
And then comes the moment of creating magic on the skin — sometimes with deep conversation, sometimes with silence, energy work, and mantras.
I always work in harmony with my own energy, tattooing in my private studio, with relaxing music playing and a warm cup of tea beside me.
Everything inspires me, to be honest. I’m extremely sensitive to details, so music, sounds, a beautiful photo, or even a simple sunset can spark something instantly.
But more deeply, what truly inspires me is art created from the heart. I don’t have specific artists I follow — it always depends on the kind of inspiration I need in that moment.
What drives me to create is the desire to share something that feels good, that uplifts, that heals — something that brings light to whoever receives it.
My mission in this life is to share my art and my way of seeing the world so others can feel more aligned and in harmony with themselves.
I especially love supporting women in reconnecting with their healing power and their creative force.
We are all unique, and what matters most is embracing our differences instead of comparing ourselves.
I see myself as an inspiration and a gentle guide — encouraging self-esteem, helping others welcome their shadows, and supporting them as they grow and shine in their own light.
