Smart SEAT was founded by Dr. Vivek Shandilya and Dr. Chris Simmons to close the divide in the next wave of technology and cyber security workforce development. Focus is to assist military veterans, homeless individuals, and those in underrepresented communities with limited access to technology, as well as those seeking to transition into a technology career.
Smart SEAT (cyberSecurity, Education and Automation Technologies) is a mission driven non-profit that lifts underrepresented communities through technology. Smart SEAT provides training to equip underserved groups with tangible technical skills so they can enter the rapidly growing cybersecurity workforce. Our ultimate goal is to close the digital divide by bringing more underrepresented individuals into the technology sector. Knowledge is power. We are empowering people to change their lives with technical knowledge.
