Stephen first came to Santa Fe for a summer job in 2006. He spent 7 years as the Program Director at a camp near Anchorage, Alaska before moving back to New Mexico and joining the Running Hub team as Manager in 2016. In May 2025, Stephen became the owner/operator, after purchasing the Running Hub with his wife and native New Mexican, Marie Sweezey.
Stephen holds a bachelors degree in Sports and Fitness and a masters degree in Sports and Recreation Management. He loves all things outdoors and is especially enthusiastic about mountaineering, skiing, and running. He didn’t start running until 2010 and has since grown to love ultra-distance running, especially 100 mile races. His most memorable race was Susitna 100 where he was required to pull a sled with food and survival gear through the frozen Alaskan wilderness. Stephen looks forward to helping you reach your running goals.

Vicente began working with us in 2025, and discovered the sport of running around the same time. He has "caught the bug", so to speak! In just one year of running, he's completed several 5Ks and and two 10ks—milestones that he would tell you himself once felt out of reach. Vicente says that to him running has become more than exercise; it’s a journey of growth, discipline, and self-belief. He has some big goals ahead, including a half marathon and someday a full marathon. He is committed to showing that determination can take you further than you ever imagined. Vicente is also part of our Running Hub Ambassador Team.
