Working with children and families isn’t just about applying interventions — it’s about how clinicians show up in the everyday moments that shape a child’s growth, behavior, and well-being. The choices professionals make in these interactions influence trust, family engagement, and long-term outcomes.
This on-demand course equips clinicians with developmentally informed, family-centered strategies to navigate the complexities of child and adolescent care. Participants will gain practical tools for collaborating with caregivers, addressing trauma, and implementing ethical, developmentally appropriate interventions.
Working with children and families shows up in real moments — supporting emotional regulation, responding to challenging behavior, navigating caregiver dynamics, and addressing the unique needs of each child. To be an effective clinician, we need to move beyond theory and provide practical, developmentally informed strategies for engaging children, collaborating with families, and making ethical, thoughtful decisions in the moment. So you can foster trust, promote healthy development, and create positive outcomes that truly support both children and their caregivers.
Training Objectives:
Support children's emotional and behavioral regulation using developmentally appropriate techniques.

Implement ethical, developmentally appropriate interventions while promoting positive long-term outcomes for children and families.
