Are You Consuming Your Life… or Creating It?
Let’s be honest—December can be a lot. 🎁
Expectations. Invitations. Emotions. Pressure.
It all piles up like laundry on the guest room bed.
Before you know it, you’re running on caffeine and cookie crumbs, wondering why you’re so tired—and how the month somehow turned into a marathon instead of a celebration.
Here’s what usually happens: we consume the holidays instead of creating our experience of them.
So here’s your magic question for the season:
“Am I consuming… or creating?”
When You’re in Consumption Mode
It feels like this:
• Carrying everyone’s emotions like extra shopping bags
• Scrolling your feed, comparing, judging, numbing
• Saying yes when your whole body’s screaming “please, no”
• Absorbing family stress, overspending, over-scheduling, over-everything-ing
Basically—reacting instead of choosing.
When You’re in Creation Mode
Whole different energy.
• You’re choosing what aligns (and letting go of what doesn’t)
• You’re setting intentions before plans
• You’re scheduling rest on purpose
• You’re reinventing traditions that actually fit your life now
• You’re giving from joy, not guilt
• You’re building boundaries that support your energy—and making choices that feel like you
Why It Matters
Consumption runs on autopilot.
Creation runs on awareness.
And boundaries? They can’t thrive without awareness.
So think of December as your built-in practice round—the world’s sparkliest boundary training ground. ✨
Your Official Holiday Permission Slips (from me, to you)
Because sometimes we just need someone else to say, “It’s okay.”
So here it is:
• You have permission to do less.
• You have permission to skip the forced cheer.
• You have permission to choose your energy over expectations.
• You have permission to keep it beautifully simple.
• You have permission to let “good enough” be more than enough.
And if anyone questions it?
Blame me. Tell them your boundaries coach said so. 😉
As the month unfolds, keep this one question close:
“Am I consuming… or creating?”
A little awareness goes a long way—
and it just might be the gift that makes everything else feel lighter.
Keep shining your heart out, my friend.
