History of Alldredge


In 1987, David Alldredge purchased 5 acres of land and founded the business now known as Alldredge Gardens. Alongside his two employees, David began what would later be known as the largest comprehensive nursery, garden center and landscaping business in all of West Texas.

In 2002, a devastating fire burned down the original office building, allowing Mr. Alldredge to dream big with the future of the business. In 2003, the current retail and officing area was built to accommodate more employees and more inventory.

In 2005, David opened Cafe at the Gardens, introducing a new restaurant and event location in Midland. To this day, Alldredge Gardens continues to serve the West Texas area in all aspects of the horticulture industry.

Now on 89 acres, Alldredge Gardens is truly an oasis in the desert. 

Q: What are your hours of operation? 

A: Alldredge is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00-6:00 and Sunday from 12:00-5:00. Cafe at the Gardens is open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11:00-2:00 and Saturday for brunch from 10:30-2:30.

Q: If I made a purchase at Alldredge, can I return or exchange that item? 

A:  All bedding and tropical houseplants are final sale. Shrubs and trees are sold with warranty information.Unopened and in new condition gift items may be returned within 30 days of purchase. The original receipt must be present. In the event there is no receipt, a return may be exchanged or returned for store credit with manager approval.

Q: The plants I purchased are dead. Can I return or exchange them? 

A: All bedding, tropicals, sods, bulbs, seeds, groundcovers, vegetables and herbs are final sale.

Q: The tree or shrub I recently purchased is dying. Can I get a replacement? 

A: All trees  purchased at full price and installed by Alldredge Gardens are warranted for one year. Shrubs (15gal and smaller) purchased at full price and installed by Alldredge Gardens will be warranted for 60 days. Container trees and shrubs purchased at full price and installed by the customer are warranted for 90 days at 50% of the replacement cost. Plant warranties will be honored one time only. There will be no cash refunds. You must contact our arborist for verification and to resolve the issue. Container grown trees have a 60 day, 50% replacement warranty.
