Our Services

Grinding

Once the grits are attached to the base, the machine is switched on and the grinding process starts.

Initially, the lowest number grit is used so that the top layer of the stone is removed and subsequently higher numbered grit pads are used for a fine, polished finish.

We provide floor grinding services for all kinds of stone floors including Marble, Italian Marble, Kota Stone, Granite etc.

Polishing

Polished concrete is a multi-step process where a concrete floor is mechanically ground, honed and polished with bonded abrasives in order to cut a concrete floor's surface. It is then refined with each cut in order to achieve a specified level of appearance.

This process also includes the use of a penetrant chemical known as a hardener. The concrete densifier/hardener penetrates into the concrete and creates a chemical reaction to help harden and dust-proof the surface. During concrete polishing, the surface is processed through a series of steps utilizing progressively finer grinding tools. The grinding tools are progressive grits of industrial diamonds in a bonded material such as metal/hybrid/resin often referred to as diamond polishing pads.

Terrazzo

Terrazzo, first created by Venetian builders over 500 years ago, was popularized throughout South Florida from the Art Deco era of the 1940's through to the 60's. To this day, brilliant terrazzo floors can be found in many of the classic hotels throughout South Beach, Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

In the 70's, wall to wall carpeting became popular and many residential terrazzo floors were covered up and forgotten. More recently terrazzo flooring has come back in fashion where carpeting is less common. Many South Florida homeowners have ripped up old carpets to discover damaged, yet still beautiful, original terrazzo flooring.

These floors often are left with the stains from carpet glue, holes from staples used to fasten the carpets to the floor and other remnants.

Restoring original terrazzo is both a science and an art form and is best left to the experts. DeLeon has successfully completed over 200 residential and commercial terrazzo floor restoration projects throughout Miami, Fort Lauderdale and the entire South Florida region.
