Erica is a dedicated nursing professional with over 18 years of experience in healthcare. She earned her Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Texas–Pan American in 2014, where she discovered her true passion for women’s health. Her diverse nursing background includes postpartum and gynecologic care, cardiac care, and medical-surgical nursing. Erica’s extensive experience in women’s health spans prenatal care, postpartum care, and preventive women’s services, where she has consistently focused on delivering compassionate, evidence-based care. In 2019, she earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Through this achievement, she expanded her leadership impact—overseeing three OB/GYN women’s clinics, a family practice clinic, and a diabetes center, as well as serving as Director of Labor & Delivery and the NICU. Dr. Perez-Mitchell is committed to excellence in patient care, grounded in strong communication, individualized attention, and building meaningful one-on-one relationships. She believes that listening to patients and fostering trust are essential to achieving optimal health outcomes.
