Co-Founders Bill Murphy & Brandon Smits started GreenLine in 2021 in an effort to simplify the process of "going solar" for homeowners across the country. Since then, they've helped hundreds of people secure their energy future with a quick and easy process that's done 100% online.

Previously to GreenLine, Co-Founder Bill Murphy had founded the Solar Cheat Code, LLC, which went on to become the largest business development firm for residential solar companies across the United States. Thousands of solar businesses hired Bill, Brandon and the Solar Cheat Code to help them connect with homeowners who are interested in solar power.

Over the years, and after working along side so many residential solar businesses, Bill & Brandon were able to identify the key areas where solar most companies would fall short, communication and transparency.

So in the summer of 2021, GreenLine was created to shorten the buying process by removing the in-person salesperson creating a more enjoyable experience for everyone. Plus, by completing the entire process online, homeowners save an additional 15% when compared to retail solar.
