What We Believe

Our foundational beliefs rooted in Scripture and centered on Jesus Christ

Salvation

We believe the there is only one way to the father and way only.

 St John 14:16
We believe that no one can enter the kingdom of God unless born again spiritually, and that the new birth of the believer comes only through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We believe, also, that our redemption has been accomplished by the grace of God, an unmerited gift, given in love by God and not the result of any human works.

John 3:17-18; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 3:13; Romans 4:4-5

We believe that the explicit message of our Lord Jesus Christ to those whom He has saved is to make Christ known to the whole world and that this is the purpose of the church through the individuals within it.

Matthew 28:18-19; Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 5:11-21

We believe that local churches, such as Life Church, gather together for practical instruction in the scriptures, for fellowship with God and with other believers, and for corporate witness to the unsaved world. Our common spiritual goal is to grow toward Christ’s likeness.

Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:42-47; Romans 12:5; Ephesians 4:13-16

Our Doctrine

Acts 2:42
42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

What is the apostles' doctrine? It is what the apostles taught by the authority of Christ through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, as recorded in the New Testament.

Ephesians 4: 11-12
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Local Church Authority

Our understanding of the local church's role and purpose

Local Church Authority and Ministry

We believe in the autonomy of the local church under the lordship of Jesus Christ. Each local church has the authority to govern itself according to biblical principles and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Place of Worship and Fellowship

We believe the local church is a place of worship and fellowship where believers gather to praise God, receive biblical instruction, and encourage one another in the faith.

The Present Age

Local Church Authority and Ministry

We recognize that we live in times of spiritual apostasy and moral decline, but we hold fast to the truth of God's Word and the hope we have in Jesus Christ. We are called to be salt and light in this present age, standing firm in our faith while showing love and compassion to all.

Rooted in Scripture

We recognize that we live in times of spiritual apostasy and moral decline, but we hold fast to the truth of God's Word and the hope we have in Jesus Christ. We are called to be salt and light in this present age, standing firm in our faith while showing love and compassion to all.

These beliefs shape how we worship, how we serve, and how we live as followers of Jesus Christ. They provide the foundation for our ministry and guide us in our mission to help people discover their God-given purpose.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." - 2 Timothy 3:16
