““Jesus taught them this parable: ‘How can I describe God’s kingdom? God’s kingdom is like the smallest seed that one might plant in a garden. When it grows, it becomes a huge tree, with so many spreading branches that various birds make nests there.’ Jesus taught them another parable: ‘How can I describe God’s kingdom? God’s kingdom is like something as small as yeast that a woman kneads into a large amount of dough. It works unseen until it permeates the entire batch and the loaf rises high.’” - Luke 13:18-21 (TPT)
I woke up this morning reading Luke 13:18-21. It hit me how simple God’s call to come into His Kingdom is for our lives. I did a short “word study” on the word “kingdom…” βασιλεία (bas-il-i'-ah) in the Greek is from the root word (basileús, "king").
A kingdom ALWAYS requires a king.
The simplicity of our call into God’s Kingdom is in Micah 6:8 (NLT) ~ “…the LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”
That’s it… Who’s leading our lives EVERY second EVERY breath of our day? Are we doing the planning and initiating our activities ~ OR are we turning to our Creator and RE-Creator for the directions of even the “micro-movements” of our lives?
The GOOD News is that God has invited us into His Kingship / His Kingdom where HE leads us ~ EVEN IN THE LITTLE THINGS…
“Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” - Proverbs 3:6 (NLT)
