At Jolis Collies, education is part of responsibility. We believe informed owners and breeders make better decisions for the breed’s future. This space is dedicated to sharing knowledge on Collie structure, health, temperament, and responsible ownership.
Exceptionally. The Collie was bred to be gentle, attentive, and deeply loyal to their people — qualities that make them natural companions for children of all ages. They are calm, patient, and instinctively tuned in to the family around them. Learn more
The coat. Rough Collies have the full flowing double coat most people picture. Smooth Collies carry the same breed in a short, dense, wash-and-go jacket. Same temperament, same structure, same health testing — just a very different grooming commitment. Learn more
Less than you think. A brush through once or twice a week at home using a conditioning spray, plus a professional bath and blow dry every six weeks, keeps the coat in excellent condition. The Smooth Collie is even more straightforward — a quick brush and regular baths are all they need. Learn more
Well-bred Collies from health tested parents are a sound, long-lived breed — typically twelve to fourteen years or more. At Jolis Collies every dog in our program is tested for Collie Eye Anomaly, Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Dermatomyositis, MDR1, OFA hips and elbows, and more. We share all results openly. Learn more
Pet puppies are $2,500. Show and co-ownership placements are priced individually — we are very selective about how and when we place these puppies and prefer to have that conversation directly. Reach out and let's talk. Contact Us / Apply
It varies by litter. The best way to secure a place is to submit an application — we will give you an honest picture of timing based on what we have planned and what you are looking for. Apply
We do not ship puppies as cargo. We are happy to work with families who are not local — flight nanny arrangements or scheduled pickup can often be arranged. Reach out and let's talk through the options. Contact Us
Check our Current Litter page for the most up to date information on available puppies and upcoming litters. If nothing is currently listed, get your application in — our litters fill quickly and we always reach out to our waitlist first. Current Litter / Join the Waitlist
We welcome visits from approved applicants. We do ask that visits are scheduled in advance and that you have completed an application first — this protects our dogs and helps us make the most of your time with us. Contact Us
Every Jolis Collie goes home with a health certificate, age appropriate vaccinations, DNA health testing results, a puppy care packet, and a breeder who is available long after pickup day. Full details are covered in our purchase contract. Join the Waitlist
