BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The current system is failing most of our children.
Waiting for the system to fix the crisis is not working.
More of the same is not working.
Every family wants their children to succeed.
Most recognize the system is not meeting their needs but they are not sure how to fix it.
Most parents don't know what to do or how to help.
The Movement Team has developed a deep understanding of the learning process and how to optimize learning effectiveness to improve educational outcomes.
We have teamed with industry leaders to make their tools and programs available to families. These resources are based upon over 50 years of research and field work.
We have demonstrated the effectiveness of this approach in several schools.
We have learned that it takes an integrated holistic approach.
We had hoped to generate change in the education system based upon our proven results. We were wrong.
It will take too much time to effect any significant change.
But our children cannot wait.
The only viable solution is to engage and support families so they have the resources to help their children succeed now.

Learning how to read proficiently requires the development of a specific set of skills. These skills are empowered by brain development; building the right neural connections and highways to process information, retain information, comprehend and manipulate stimuli.
Students who struggle have a Skill Gap.
One or more of the skills listed below is not as strong as needed, which impacts or impedes learning effectively.
Home life also plays a key role.
If a student is not eating or sleeping properly that can impact learning.
They also need a nurturing and supportive home life to do well in school.
Below is a summary of the key skills required for basic reading success.
