While traveling with friends in Medellín, Colombia, I was introduced to Camila through a mutual connection. What started as a casual meeting quickly became something far more meaningful.
I saw her work ethic, intelligence, and problem-solving ability almost immediately. Within days, I offered her a role as my assistant and began training her on my systems and processes. It didn’t take long for others to notice.
Within weeks, people around me started asking the same question over and over again:
“Kev… where did you find her?”
I would laugh and say, “In the best country in the world.”
What I didn’t realize at the time was that this question would become the foundation for an entire company.
As someone who had spent years building teams, sales organizations, and operations across multiple industries, I had developed a natural ability to spot talent.
Everywhere I went, I saw potential in people. But this time, the people asking weren’t just curious—they were business owners from completely different niches who all shared the same struggle: they needed reliable, high-quality virtual assistants.
Then came the next question:
“And how much do you pay her?”
When I told them that elite talent like Camila could be sourced for under $800 per month, the reaction was always the same—wide eyes, disbelief, and then one final question:
“Can you help us find one too?”
After hearing that question for what felt like the hundredth time, the idea became impossible to ignore. Months of planning, structuring, and systems later, Camello Recruiting was officially born.
Outsourcing transformed my business. It gave me leverage, speed, and freedom.
