
HATify was founded by Phyllis Peterson, an Australian lawyer and workplace mediator with over 25 years’ experience in litigation, dispute resolution and workplace conflict.
In 2017, Phyllis founded Your Mediation, a specialist workplace mediation practice focused on helping organisations address workplace conflict, build communication capability and resolve complex interpersonal issues.
Her work has spanned a wide range of employers, including government, public and private secondary and tertiary education institutions, not-for-profit organisations, professional services firms and private sector employers of all sizes.
Throughout her career, Phyllis has supported individuals and organisations navigating escalated workplace conflict, workplace investigations, psychological injury claims and prolonged conflict that could often have been resolved earlier with the right guidance and support.
Across these matters, a consistent insight emerged.
The same patterns and issues were arising repeatedly, often in circumstances where earlier action could have changed the trajectory.
When workplace issues are identified and addressed early, organisations can reduce risk, cost, and harm while strengthening psychosocial safety compliance in practice.
It became clear that organisations of all sizes can achieve this through structured communication that supports early identification, guided resolution and capability-building.
This insight became the foundation for HATify.
