1. Professional Regulation
All psychotherapy services are provided in accordance with the standards of practice of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
Cris Lopez is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and practices under CRPO regulation, supervision, and applicable Ontario laws.
2. Scope of Services
Services may include psychotherapy, counselling, consultation, and related therapeutic supports.
Therapy does not replace medical, psychiatric, or emergency services. If you are in crisis, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.
Services are available only to individuals physically located in Ontario, Canada at the time of the session, unless otherwise explicitly agreed.
3. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information for safe and effective therapy.
Clients are responsible for attending scheduled appointments. Missed sessions without 24 hours’ notice may be subject to the full session fee.
Clients must have a safe, private environment for online sessions.
4. Fees & Payments
Session fees will be discussed prior to starting therapy.
Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.
Insurance coverage is the responsibility of the client to confirm with their provider.
No guarantee is made that services will be covered by insurance.
5. Confidentiality & Limits
Confidentiality is upheld in accordance with CRPO standards and Ontario law.
Exceptions where disclosure may be required include:
Risk of serious harm to self or others
Suspected abuse or neglect of a child under 16
Legal requirements such as a court order
Professional supervision and quality assurance purposes
6. Cancellation & Termination
You may discontinue therapy at any time.
The therapist may also recommend termination or referral if services are not suitable or if ethical concerns arise.
Build Me Up Therapy Services reserves the right to refuse service where appropriate.
