The Power of 90 Minutes

Uncategorized Mar 01, 2021

I'm going to be very transparent with you. The first time my business coach told me about making 90 minutes of business development time in my business every day, I thought it was impossible and fought against it.

I found myself making excuses not to get it done. However, when I finally realized that this was the key to making my business produce on the level that I needed and wanted it to grow, then I gave in and realized that it made all the difference in the world.

Getting started

Go to your calendar right now and block off 90 minutes a day for the next five days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Now, I know it sounds like a lot, but you can't afford to do this. The 90 minutes can be in the morning or the afternoon, whether you take half an hour at one point in the day and another half an hour later in the day, and then finish up with the remainder of your day after. Whatever it takes, make sure you put in 90 minutes a day because what that's going to do is it's going to create more opportunities for you to gain more clients.

During these 90 minutes, you're not surfing Facebook or wasting time. You are doing what we call business or profit-producing activities.

These activities include follow-up calls that you said you were going to do and didn't take the time to do. It might be creating content, working on your newsletters, or delegating to your teams.

Maybe you're making some objections that you've been coming up against when you're talking to people in your sales conversations and creating ways to overcome those objections. You could be planning your next webinar so that you can drive new leads to your website or invite them into a program that you're about to launch.

Whatever it might be, so long as it helps produce a profit or new revenue in your business.

Gift Yourself

Gift yourself the investment of time. Because if you don't do it, you will likely be in the same place this time next year as you are right now because you're not driving new business. You're not attracting new clients, and you're not consistently doing the follow-up that's creating the revenue you need.

The likelihood is, all the money you need in your business is probably sitting on your desk right now. And you have not done the necessary activities to make that money a reality. So 90 minutes, it's powerful.
